Electrostatic Precipitator (ESP)
Electrostatic Precipitator (ESP)
(High Efficiency Flue Gas Pollution Control System)
Technical Description
BELLFABS BOILERS Electrostatic Precipitators (ESP) are advanced high-efficiency air pollution control systems designed for removal of fine fly ash, smoke, dust particles, and suspended particulate matter from boiler flue gases using electrostatic separation technology.
The ESP operates by electrically charging dust particles present in the flue gas stream through high-voltage discharge electrodes. The charged particles are then attracted and collected on oppositely charged collecting plates. Periodic rapping mechanisms dislodge the collected dust into hoppers for safe disposal, while clean flue gas is discharged through the chimney.
Electrostatic Precipitators are widely used in coal fired boilers, biomass boilers, FBC boilers, power plants, thermic fluid heaters, and large industrial combustion systems requiring very high particulate collection efficiency and compliance with stringent environmental emission norms.
The system is engineered with optimized gas flow distribution, high-voltage transformer rectifier systems, collecting electrodes, and automated dust removal mechanisms to ensure reliable continuous operation and superior pollution control performance.
