Technical Description
BELLFABS BOILERS Wet Bottom Ash Handling Systems are specially designed ash cooling and disposal systems used in solid fuel fired boilers for efficient collection, quenching, and removal of bottom ash generated during combustion. The system operates by continuously discharging hot ash into a water-filled trough located beneath the furnace or grate area, where the ash is instantly cooled and safely conveyed for disposal.
The submerged wet bottom arrangement minimizes dust generation, prevents clinker overheating, and improves overall boiler cleanliness and operational safety. The system is suitable for handling ash generated from coal, biomass, briquettes, husk, wood chips, agro-waste, and other solid fuels in industrial boilers and FBC systems.
